Hello everyone! In this bolgpost I will be sharing some of the techniques I use when designing at The Flower Shoppe, Ltd. I'm going to be using some local plant materials native to South Jersey, and mix them with a few fresh flowers. In this design I'll mainly be using a technique called grouping. As the name indicates it means to 'group' similar flowers together to give them more visual impact.

Tuesday we worked on some dried florals in the spirit of Autumn. We harvested a lot of Blue, Purple & Green Hydrangeas this summer and dried them upright in buckets which seemed to work out well. September Wedding Photos

We just did a wedding this weekend based on Antique Garden Roses, Freesia and Callas, the colors where off white and pale green. We did an on-site setup of the Archway flowers and table centerpices at The Centerton Country Club in Pittsgrove. Everything turned out beautiful and the bride was wonderful.

A Rose Without Water...

Here is a rose that was left out of water for over five days! We cut it short and put it in some dry foam with no water. This feat can only be performed by certain rose varieties we offer, but isn't it astounding?
